New Orleans is home to a unique form of hip hop known as Bounce. It is fast paced and bass driven music derived primarily from only two different beats. In recent years, a sub genre of the sub genre has been formed known as "sissy bounce" when it a handful of cross dressing MCs took to the mic. Big Freedia (the self-proclaimed queen diva of bounce) has an annual birthday party in which close to a 1000 people attend.
