Shane McCauley started taking photographs when he was 7 years old. Born in the pacific northwest and raised outside of Philadelphia, he started photographing the music world at 15 when he promoted punk shows and hosted a radio show at the local college station. He has published several books to date, notably 128 Beats Per Minute (Rizzoli) and the Blow Your Head (Picturebox) series which chronicles youth culture and music in different parts of the world. Blow Your Head has now been developed into a documentary film series by the same name that has been co-produced by NTS and TMWRK studios. Shane also writes for travel blogs (he has been to over 70 different countries), and was the Creative Director for Potato, a YouTube dance music channel. An avid surfer, runner, gardener, and vegan cook, Shane also practices Transcedental Meditation and plays several instruments.
